Alan Ray Terrell Sr.

BELVIDERE – Alan Ray Terrell Sr, age 67, of Belvidere and formerly of Rockford passed away peacefully Wednesday December 20, 2023. Born in Rockford on October 26, 1956 to Roy & Virginia Terrell (Smith). An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, Alan enjoyed watching NFL football and never missed a chance to root for the Raiders. Most of all he loved spending time spoiling his grandchildren, his true pride and joy. Beloved father, companion, grand & great grandfather, uncle and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by son, Alan R. (Laura) Terrell Jr.; grandchildren, Brittany (Jesse) Mendez and Aline Terrell; great grandchildren, Tanner, Joe and Aurora; longtime companion, Vera Fennell; siblings, Paul (Patty) Terrell, Bobbie Quick, Patty Terrell and Joyce Terrell; special nieces & nephews, Troy, Michael and Tracy; as well as numerous nieces & nephews; and dear friend, Dave. He is predeceased by brother, Troy Terrell; and his parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial to be announced. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
