Angelica Maria Contreras

ROCKFORD – Angelica Maria Contreras, age 32, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home Friday January 7, 2022. Born in Mexico on November 26, 1989 to Luis Contreras and Rosalba Blanco. A strong willed Warrior and Guardian Angel, Angelica beat the odds and graciously battled her disabilities by overcoming many hurdles in life with grace and dignity. She had a caring, loving and nurturing soul; could always make you laugh and always brought the best out of everyone she encountered. Beloved daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her mother, Rosalba Blanco; siblings, Luis (Mayra) Contreras, Blanca (Francisco) Contreras, Jose Contreras and Neida Contreras; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her grandparents.

Funeral Services held Saturday January 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Rockford. Memorials to the family.
