Antonio Luevano Reyes

ROCKFORD – Antonio Luevano Reyes, age 89, of Rockford passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Saturday December 14, 2019 at his home. Born in Zacatecas, Mexico on June 13, 1930 to Leonor Reyes Escobar and Jesus Luevano Ruiz. He was a hardworking and generous man. He enjoyed planting, walking and candy. He enjoyed watching and taking care of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend. He will forever and always remain in all our hearts.

Antonio Luevano Reyes, de 89 años, de Rockford fallecio tranquilamente rodeado de familiares, el sábado 14 de diciembre de 2019 en su casa. Nacido en Zacatecas, México el 13 de junio de 1930 a Leonor Reyes Escobar y Jesús Luevano Ruiz. Era un hombre trabajador y generoso. Le gustaba plantar, caminar y sus dulcesitos. Le gustaba cuidar a sus nietos y bisnietos. Amado padre, abuelo, bisabuelo y querido amigo. Él permanecerà para siempre en todos nuestros corazones.

Antonio is survived by his beloved children, Salvador Luevano, Alicia Luevano, Gumaro (Esmeralda) Luevano, Antonio (Cecilia) Luevano, Maria (Jose Leaños) Luevano, Leticia (Osmin) Luevano Gonzalez and Carmela (Jose) Renteria; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; sisters, Luisa Luevano Reyes and Maria de Jesus Luevano Reyes; as well as numerous nieces & nephews; and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Dionicia Garcia Garcia; parents, Leonor Reyes Escobar and Jesus Luevano Ruiz; son, Manuel Luevano; daughters, Maria de Jesus Luevano and Margarita Luevano; sisters, Rebeca and Juana Luevano Reyes; and brother, Cruz Luevano Reyes.

Funeral Services held Wednesday December 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, with visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of services at 1:00 PM. Interment at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockford. Memorials to the family.
