Barbara J. Williams-Blewett

ROCKFORD – Barbara Jane Williams-Blewett, age 66, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Thursday October 5, 2017. Born in Great Lakes, IL on July 19, 1951 to Kenneth Harry & Mary Jane Williams (Shumate). A proud and active member at St. James Catholic Church, Barbara enjoyed making rosaries for the Church. She worked for many years as a Librarian and also taught at the Montessori Academy. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by children, Michael Blewett, Noel Blewett, and Dennis Blewett Jr.; grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas and Ethan; great-daughter, Amelia; brother, William Williams; sister-in-law, Ann Blewett; daughter-in-law, Christina (Tom) King; dear friend, Julie (Jim) Beck. She is predeceased by her husband, Dennis Blewett Sr.; son, Thomas Blewett; daughter, Augusta Blewett; brother, James Williams; and sister-in-law, Bridget Blewett.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church, 428 N. 2nd street Rockford, IL 61107 at 10:00 AM. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
