Bertha Carleen Fisher

ROCKFORD – Bertha Carleen Fisher, age 76, of Rockford passed away peacefully Friday May 21, 2021. Born in Peach Orchard, AR on September 25, 1944 to William Harrison & Ida Mae Wheeler (Rawls). An animal lover and devoted Christian, Carleen enjoyed reading from her Bible and attending televised Church services. She loved cooking, sewing, tinkering in the garden and maintained an extensive angel & button collection. She never missed her Chicago Crime dramas and was always entertained by old movies & Westerns. Carleen very much enjoyed teaching & playing Solitaire and board games with her grandchildren, her true pride & joy. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Sheryl (Dean Pulliam) Fisher; grandchildren, twins – Bethany (Omar) Moreno & Jade (Alex) Aguilar and Skyla Mae Fisher; great grandchildren, Noah, Dominic and Lliam; brother, Greg (Debbie) Wheeler and Jim (Cathy) Wheeler; numerous nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews; beloved pets, Misty & Spooky the cats and Chloe the dog. She is predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Fisher; grandson, Holden Lee Fisher; sisters, Cleona (Ray) Ingram and Kathy Ann Wheeler; and her parents.

Funeral Services held Tuesday June 1, 2021 at 4:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home , 925 3 ^rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 3:00 PM until the time of services at 4:00 PM. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
