Betty Lois Clark

ROCKFORD – Betty Lois Clark, age 89, of Rockford and formerly of Davis, IL passed away peacefully Friday August 25, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Born in Mosheim, TN on December 7, 1933 to Clyde Terrance & France Ola Long (Evans). Betty and her husband owned & operated Betty's Junk Shop in Rockford for many years. She held a strong Christian faith and often could be found reading her Bible. An avid gardener and green thumb, Betty enjoyed needle work, bowling, cooking and loved tuning into her favorite shows on MeTV and Grit. Beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by children, Debra (Mark) Orris and Terrance P. Clark; grandchildren, Eric & Jennifer Orris, Jack & Casper Clark, Ashley Vang and Joshua Clark; and four great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years; Ronald "Jack" DeWitt Clark; son; Jack F. Clark; daughter, Laurie Ann Clark; grandson, Gary Orris; brother, Clyde Terrance (Winifred) Long Jr.; half sister, Nancy Helton; brother-in-law, George Miles; and her parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Saturday September 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of services at 2:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
