Betty Ellen Ervin

AUSTIN, TX - Betty Ellen Hoaglund-Ervin, age 79, of Rockford, IL went to heaven on July 24, 2019 in Austin, TX. Betty was born on August 23, 1939 in Rockford, IL. She graduated from Stillman Valley High, Stillman, IL in 1957. Betty married Carmon Ervin on August 23, 1956 in Corning, AR.

Betty worked as a nurse's aide at Swedish American Nursing Home. Her first priorities were being a wife & mom. She loved flowers and tending to her garden. Betty enjoyed decorating the house for special occasions; such as birthdays, holidays and anything that involved the family getting together. Betty love to read and enjoyed reading the newspaper & doing crossword puzzles along with a good cup of coffee. In 2013, Betty & Carmon moved to Buda, TX to live with their daughter, Bonnie.

Survivors include their children; Beverly, Danny & Billy (the twins), Norman and Bonnie. Including their spouses, and 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Cheryl Kroeger of Riverside, CA, Susan Kroupa of Excelsior, MN and Robert Hoaglund of Shoreview, MN; and their mother, Beulah Lasher-Hoaglund of St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmon; parents, Evelyn A. Peterson-Hoaglund & Clifford R. Hoaglund of St. Paul, MN; and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral & Memorial Services for both Betty & Carmon held Friday August 2, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave., with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery, Rockford. Memorials to the family.
