ROCKFORD- Betty Ruth Garippo, age 58, of Rockford passed away peacefully Saturday January 5, 2019. Born in Sterling, IL on April 19, 1960 to John & Eula Chauer (Taylor). Betty loved reading, art, photography, gardening and caring for her cats. Beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.
She is survived by children, Jenny Garippo and Louis Garippo Jr.; granddaughter, Janessa Garippo; dear friend, Trina Foy-Portner; former husband, Louis Garippo Sr.; and many beloved cats. She is predeceased by her mother.
Celebration of Life Memorial held Tuesday January 22, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 5:00 pm until the time of services at 7:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
