Bradley Michael Redington Sr.

ROCKFORD - Beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Brad Michael Redington Sr. spent his last months on earth doing the things he loves the most: spending time with his family, playing music, going to the gym, watching his sports teams, and working hard at his job up until the day that he passed away, peacefully, at home. Brad was born on August 14, 1959 in Rockford, IL to Elmer Walter Redington and Lorretta Marie Redington (Bishell) and passed away peacefully at home in Rockford on March 21, 2026.

Brad was known for and will be remembered for the care and love that he showed to his family. He was hard-working and kind, qualities that he inherited from his father, Elmer, who many compared him to because of that. A class of 1977 Auburn High School graduate, Brad made an impact through sports and music while he was there, and carried his love of those hobbies throughout his life, including through coaching basketball at Welsh Elementary School and the YMCA, and t-ball/ baseball through both Roy Gayle and the Rockford Park District. He balanced his family life with his work, cementing his legacy in the gear manufacturing industry with over 40 years of precision gear-making, starting in the mid-1980s at Target Gear and Tool. Still, Brad will most be remembered for his loyalty and commitment to his family. He was most joyous when watching his granddaughter, Grace, play basketball, his grandson, Grant, play music, or when shooting hoops in the pool with his youngest grandson, Michael. His smile was never wider than when he was able to share how proud he was of his children and grandchildren...unless, of course, one of his beloved professional sports teams was playing well.

He is survived by his children, Bradley Redington II, Michael (Redington) Craglow, and Michelle (Daniel) Schrom; brother, Bryan (Peggy) Redington; sister, Barb Baker; sister-in-law, Roxanne Redington; grandchildren, Grace Vyborny, Grant Redington, and Michael Craglow Jr., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Loretta Redington; brothers, Barry Redington and Bruce Redington; sister, Bonnie Stein; brother-in-law, Steve Baker Sr.
