ROCKFORD – Brian Scott Blankenship, age 62, of Rockford passed away peacefully Sunday November 6, 2022. Born in Rockford on February 1, 1960 to Donald & Darlene Blankenship (Timberello). A talent in the kitchen, Brian enjoyed cooking, baking and grilling. Beloved father, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by daughters, Julie Cruz Blankenship, Samantha Timmons and Destiny Gibson; second son, Jeremy Dray; sister, Sally (Jack) Edwards; brother, Kurt (Jan) Blankenship; nephews, Adam & Ryan Edwards; dear friends, Sally Walsh, Yolanda Ducharme and Julie Larson; beloved dogs Boy, Pee Wee, Pete & Poopie; and Milo the cat. He is predeceased by his wife, Lisa Jo (Schmitz) Blankenship; son, Brian Scott Blankenship; and his parents.

Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
