Carl Eric Wallin

ROCKFORD – Carl Eric Wallin, age 81, of Rockford passed away peacefully Thursday September 9, 2024. Born in Rockford on March 3, 1943 to Carl Eric & Christine Wallin (Schonstedt). An avid collector of model cars and knives, Carl enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers, bowling and the challenge of a good crossword puzzle. Beloved father, grandpa and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by children, Jeff (late Deborah) Wallin and Jennifer (fiancé Jesse Powell) Blackman; grandchildren, Erica (Bob) Smolka, Trent Blackman (Deanna Wilson) and Jason Malcomson; great grandchildren, Alijah, Natalie, William and Jaxson; and numerous nieces & nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by daughters, Jill & Kimberly Wallin; siblings, Alita Lutzow, Betsy Graham and Rudy, Levi & Bud Nelson; and his parents.

Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
