Carmon Ervin

AUSTIN, TX - Carmon Ervin, age 80, of Austin, TX and formerly of Rockford, IL went to be with the Lord on Friday July 12, 2019 in Austin, TX. Born on April 27, 1939 in Corning, AR to Fred & Bessie Ervin (Hefner). Carmon married Betty Hoaglund on August 23, 1956 in Corning, AR and were blessed with 5 children. Carmon was a long time resident of Rockford where he was employed at Browning-Ferris for 16 years and worked as a truck driver for Liebovich for 19 years. Carmon enjoyed fishing, taking the boat out on Lake Pierce, working on cars and helping others repair their cars, too. He loved spending time with his children & grandchildren, as well as traveling all over the United States with Betty.

Carmon is survived by his wife, Betty Ervin (Hoaglund); children; Beverly, Danny & Billy (the twins), Norman and Bonnie; including their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mazie Raney, Alice Williams & Louise Barksdale of Corning, AR and Nadine Eaglin of Poplar Bluff, MO; brothers, Floyd, Olen & Gary of Paragould, AR, Glen & James of Corning, AR and Kenneth of Pocahontas, AR; including their families, too numerous to mention! He is predeceased by his parents, Bessie Irene Hefner and Fred Ervin of Corning, AR; siblings, Freddie M. Ervin, Mervil Ervin and Barbara Jackson.

Funeral & Memorial Services for both Betty & Carmon held Friday August 2, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave., with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery, Rockford. Memorials to the family.
