Carol Ann Mesdag

ROCKFORD – Carol Ann Mesdag, age 83, of Rockford passed away peacefully Sunday February 14, 2021. Born in Rockford on November 29, 1937 to Frank & Arvilla Rice (Booth). A spirited adventurer, Carol enjoyed the RV life on the road, traveling the globe and testing her luck at the casino. She was a proud member of the Blackhawk Athletic Club and the Rockford Lithuania Club. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gerhard Mesdag; children, Kurt (Margaret) Mesdag, Deonel (late Michael) Hardy and Mark Mesdag; granddaughter, Ashley (Joshua); great grandchildren, Christian & Elijah; nieces, Nancy & Jeanine; and special friend, Ada Boyer. She is predeceased by her brother, Leslie Rice.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Saturday February 27, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 noon. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
