Catherine Lynn Miles Wright

ROCKFORD – Catherine Lynn Miles Wright, age 69, of Rockford passed away Monday, February 16, 2026. Born in Carbondale, IL on March 29, 1956 to Roland Dean & Mary Ann Miles (Robertson). She graduated from East High School in 1974. Fred & Cathy married October 31, 1994. Kind, caring and beautiful, a true people person; Cathy loved being a friend, working hard and was always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Beloved wife, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Freddie L. Wright; sister, Carol Rae & Brian J. (Miles) Carlson; sister-in-laws, Kathy Wilson-Miles and Diann Rosendahl-Miles; brother, Robert John Miles; dear friends, Darla Graham Ward, Belinda Bailey, Michelle, Ashley and Cassie; nieces and nephews, Pete & Jennifer (Carlson) Kiser, Eric & Rachel (Carlson) Niemann, Christopher & Jennifer Carlson, Boyd & Lenzi Miles, Mabry Miles, Briley Miles, Bailey Miles, Ashley Dawn Miles, Jason & Sarah Ann (Miles) Migenron and Wyatt Rueling; many great nieces and nephews; and numerous beloved pets. She is predeceased by her parents; sister, Kimberly Sue (Miles) Harms; and brother, Roland Dean Miles, Jr.

Celebration of Life Memorial will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 1 – 3 pm at the New Milford Fire Station, 2177 Will James Road, Rockford, IL 61109. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
