Cecelia Mary Arndt

ROCKFORD – Cecelia "Chee Chee" Mary Arndt, age 77, of Rockford and formerly of Antioch, IL passed away peacefully Saturday November 6, 2021. Born in Waukegan, IL on October 11, 1944 to Harry & Sonia "Sunny" Arndt (Keskinen). Chee Chee was full of life and childlike whims at every surprising turn. Lover of BINGO (especially when she was winning), Word Search Guru and avid Wheel of Fortune fan, she retired in 2018 from Growth Enterprises in Loves Park, IL. She adored all pets and loved spending time with her family, frequenting apple orchards, pumpkin patches, arboretums and walking paths. She was always prepared with some good "Gramma House Jammies" or "Yummies" for the grandchildren to sleepover & enjoy on any given day. Loving mom grandma, great grandma, sister and loving friend to many; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Jim Rentsch (Tanya Schwertfeger) and Verna Rentsch (Lowell Dotson); grandchildren, Sky Anne, Serenity, Destiny (Iyanu), Jayden, Coda, Carolaine and Malachi; great grandchildren, Isiah, Olivia, Zion and baby Y; siblings, Cathy (Tom) Haley, Carol (Roger) Leaf and Bobbi Erhart; sister-in-law, Siri Meade; beloved friend, James Rentsch; numerous nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Harry & Sonia "Sunny" Arndt; and brother, Ronald Arndt.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Sunday November 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the Christian Life Fellowship, 41625 Deep Lake Road, Antioch, IL 60002. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
