Charles Thurman Myers Jr.

ROCKFORD – Charles Thurman Myers Jr., age 72, of Rockford went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September, 29, 2026. Born in Galesburg, IL on February 17, 1954 to Charles Thurman & Florence Mae Myers Jr. (Wittlesey). He married Terry Anne Hanson April 12, 1994 and worked as a roofer for most of his life. He had a strong faith in his Lord and his family meant everything to him. Charlie loved Jesus, family & friends, guitars and motorcycles. He was always kind and giving of himself, and will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. Beloved husband, father, son, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Terry A. Myers (Hanson); children, Greg Myers, Holly (Aharon) Babcock, Melanie (John) Garner, Joan Bryant and Eric (Charlene) Bryant; grandchildren, Page, Dawn, Jack, Haley, Paisley, Murphy, Noah, Zach and Anastasia; great-grandchildren, Bentley and Nala; father, Charles Myers Sr.; 5 sisters; 1 brother; 2 aunts; 3 uncles; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Florence Myers; daughter, Deborah; and his grandparents.

Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 920 3rd Ave., Rockford. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Family.
