Charles Calvin Vertin

LOVES PARK – Charles Calvin Vertin, age 77, of Loves Park passed away peacefully Tuesday December 6, 2022. Born in Juneau, AK on March 30, 1944 to Donald Dawson & Arlene Elvera Vertin (Anderson). A proud Veteran of the US Army, Charles was a faithful & devoted Christian. He enjoyed photography, developing prints and oil paintings from his pictures and tinkering on all things electrical & electronic. Beloved father, brother and uncle; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by daughter, Emily (fiancé Loi Kim) Vertin; siblings, Grace Bennett, Faith (late Lee) Nelson and Daniel (Joan Fullmer) Vertin; brother-in-law, Richard Schnepper; numerous nieces & nephews, cousins and in-laws. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Laurie Vertin (Linder); sisters, Darlene (Dave) Rund and Patience Schnepper; and his parents.

Family & Friends are welcome to join the family for a Celebration of Life Memorial held Saturday January 21, 2022 at 11:00AM at Forest Hills Evangelical Free Church, 5183 Pebble Creek Trail, Loves Park, IL 61111 . Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
