Cherree Merree Cameron

ROCKFORD – Cherree Merree Cameron, age 63, of Rockford and formerly of New Port Richey, FL passed away Sunday April 30, 2023. Born in Denver, CO on September 28, 1959 to Earl & Mary Anne Traylor (Phillips). Loving, kind and caring, Cherree devoted her life to family, her true pride & joy. She loved spoiling her grandchildren, playing card & board games and spending time entertaining her family & friends. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by sons, Jason (Marti) Frye and Tim Hicks; stepsons, Marlon (Angie) Hicks and Brian (Jennifer) Hicks; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; mother, Mary Anne Traylor; siblings, Michael Traylor, Theresa Roberts, Stephen (Buffy) Traylor, Susan (late Dennis) Hill, Christina Whitmire, Joel (Arlene) Traylor and Cynthia (Kevin) Rotunda; and numerous nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, John Cameron; brothers, David & Randall Traylor; father, Earl Traylor; and best friend, Kevin Knotts.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Sunday May 7, 2023 at 4:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 2:00 pm until the time of services at 4:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the Family.
