Christina Helen Engelbrecht

ROCKFORD – Christina Helen Engelbrecht, age 80, of Rockford and formerly of Chicago passed away peacefully Saturday September 11, 2021. Born in Katowice, Poland to Kepys & Helena Latawiec (Wladyslaw). Loving and kind in all her ways, Christina was always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed tinkering in the garden & feeding the birds, classical music and animals of all kinds. Beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Brelsford, Christpher (Lori) Twardak and Danuta Davis; grandchildren, Jimmie (Christy) Brelsford, Lance Jr, Michael Zachary & Taylor Davis; great granddaughter, Miyah Rose; cherished friends and extended family, Donna Knabusch and LaVonna Jones; and dear friend & guardian angel, Hadie Al-Sayed. She is predeceased by her grandson, Mathew Brelsford; brother, Michael Latawiec; and her parents.

Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
