Christina M. Smith

ROCKFORD – With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Christina Maria Smith, age 66, of Rockford passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, June 6, 2025 at Serenity Hospice after a long battle with cancer. Born in Rockford on July 14, 1958 to Ingvar & Sigrid Carlson (Hansson). Christina enjoyed knitting, crafting, politics and shopping. Most of all she loved spending time with family, especially her 5 grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly. Christina serves as an example of resilience, strength and positively, truly impacting the lives of so many around her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bryan Smith; devoted mother to 4 children; Kennet, Daniel, Chase and Briana; 5 grandchildren; and cherished sister, Anita. She is predeceased by her brother, Hasse; and her parents, Ingvar & Sigrid Carlson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 to celebrate her beautiful life and upcoming birthday. Please reach out to family for details on time and location. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
