Christine Mary Alexander

ROCKFORD – Christine Mary Alexander, age 70, of Rockford passed away peacefully Thursday November 15, 2018. Born in Freeport on June 18, 1948 to Max & Marietta Schopf (Peer). Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by children, Daniel (Jennifer) Alexander, Elizabeth (Nicholas) McCaslin & Katherine (Steven) Friis; grandchildren, Max, Ian, Livia, Nathan, Joshua, Xavier, Kylie, Lincoln, Rachel & Maya; siblings, Janice (Tom) Mount, Val (Dave) Hammes & Andrew Schopf; and numerous nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Larry Alexander; son, Stephen Alexander; and her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial held Tuesday November 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 428 N. 2 ^nd Street, Rockford. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Monday November 19, 2018 at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave., Rockford. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery.
