ROCKFORD – Christopher Allen Martin, age 28, of Rockford passed away Thursday November 1, 2018. Born in Elk Grove Village on February 12, 1990 to Daniel & Julie Martin (Ferguson).
Chris was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with daughter Audrey and son Ryder. He was an avid sports fan and aspiring musician. He blessed us with his outgoing personality and a smile that lit up a room. Beloved father, son, brother, nephew and dear friend; he will remain in our hearts forever.
He is survived by daughter Audrey Joy Martin, son Ryder James Martin, father Daniel Christopher Martin, siblings Joseph, Sarah, Rachel and Jacob Martin and Tegan Greenhill. Stepdad Tom Greenhill, stepmom Christine Dunn, grandparents Harold and Marilyn Martin, as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a great group of friends who helped him celebrate the good times and comforted him during the rough times. Chris was preceded by aunt Hazel Tatum, mother Julie Ferguson, and great grandmother Joy Price whom he loved dearly.
Celebration of Life Memorial held Saturday November 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
