Chyna Janice Lofton

ROCKFORD –Chyna Janice Lofton, age 24, of Rockford passed away peacefully Friday February 3, 2023. Born in Kalamazoo, MI on March 21, 1998 to James E. Lofton & Kristene M. Murphy. A special soul with a heart of gold, Chyna was always the life of the party. Her fun loving & energetic personality was contagious to all she met. She loved singing, dancing, traveling, poetry & music and was always up for a spontaneous road trip or adventure. Beloved daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by mother, Kristene M. Murphy; father, James E. Lofton; siblings, Kyle & Elon Murphy, Omar, Christopher, James D., Jamir, Janay & Jalynn Lofton; niece, Nova; Grandma Dear, Janet Burt; aunts, Monique & Erin; uncle, Marshall & Sean; special cousins, Breanna, Brendon, Ryan and Damien; as well as numerous cherished cousins; dear friends, Sasha, Cheyanne, Boushra & Matt; numerous dear friends too many to name; and beloved dogs, Teddy, Billy & Calypso. She is predeceased by her grandparents, PaPa Steve & Patricia Hall; and aunt, Gail Kissane

Funeral Services held Friday February 10, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., with visitation from 4:00 pm until the time of services at 6:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
