ROCKFORD – CL Day, age 83, of Rockford passed away Thursday November 23, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, MS on February 22, 1934 to Clarence & Cilla Day (Green). Proud Veteran of the US Army. Beloved father, grandfather, brother and dear friend, he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by daughters, Lori Phillips of Rockford, Edie Horton of Rockford, Kimberley Willis of Jackson, TN and Racheal Day of Union, MS; step-children, Jackie McBeath, Carolyn Calloway, Patricia Griffin, Kimberley Nash, Tracy Nash, Rena Drummond, Michael Nash, Patrick Nash, Dewight Nash, Willie Nash all of Union, MS; grandchildren, Twaine Phillips, Lorissa Valentine, Akemi Crowley all of Rockford and D'Mariyon Butler of Union, MS; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Annie Boykin of Rockford and Ora Bell Fowler of Florida; special niece, Mae Ruth Cook of Mobile, AL; and numerous nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; 2 sisters; 5 brothers; and grandson, CL Phillips.

Funeral services to be held on Saturday December 2, 2017 at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 10:00AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
