Cynthia Jo Forbes

ROCKFORD – Cynthia Jo Forbes, age 57, of Rockford and formerly of Pecatonica passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 1, 2017. Born in Rockford on May 27, 1960 to Edward & Beverly Stoner (Umbenhower). Cynthia loved spending time with family, shopping and reading. She adored animals, especially her beloved dogs. Loving mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by children, Rebecca (Buck) Walden, Leilani Klapp, Cody Forbes and Courtney Forbes; parents, Edward & Beverly Stoner; grandchildren, Madeline, Alayna, Samuel, Judson and Carly; brother, Dean (Mary) Stoner; special friend and caretaker, Debra Vela; nieces, Nicole, Holly, Heather and Deana; fathers of her children, Dale Kerby and Walter Forbes; and numerous aunts & uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandparents; and cousin, Terrie Gran.

Celebration of Life Memorial to be held on Monday August 7, 2017 at 5:00 PM at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
