Daniel James Haffey

ROCKFORD – Daniel James Haffey, age 65, of Rockford and formerly of Belvidere passed away peacefully Friday October 21, 2022. Born in Belvidere on December 12, 1956 to Francis Patrick & Bernice Haffey (Malone). A proud Veteran of the US Army, Dan loved music, reading, smokin the good stuff and a cold beer. He was an avid Chicago sports fan and enjoyed rooting for the Bears, Bulls, Cubs and Blackhawks. His true pride & joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren, a devoted family man and the best Dad. Beloved father, grandfather, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by sons, Aaron (Sarah), Sean (Nikole), Patrick, Christopher (Kristen), Daniel (Hailey Hall), Colton (Samantha), Andrew (Heather) and David (Lily) McHaff; grandchildren, Hailey, Riley, Sadie, Isabella, Josselyn, Lillian, Christian, Giovanni, Jameson, Layla, Jayden, Nolan, Abby, Addie, Harley, Audrey and Jorgie; siblings, Patrick (Deborah), Richard & Margie; special niece, Cindy (Rafael) Nava; numerous nieces & nephews; dear friends, Chuck Pete & Larry Anderson; and beloved cat, Trouble. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 33 years, Donna Marie Haffey (Tucker); infant son, Michael; dear friends, Merle & Marty; and his parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Saturday November 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the Family.
