Danny "Ox" Brockett

ROCKFORD – Danny "OX" Brockett, age 74, of Rockford passed away peacefully Friday February 5, 2021. Born in Burlington, IA on April 30, 1946 to Charles "Chuck" Brockett and Roberta Brace. Danny worked at Lasher Concrete and was a bouncer at numerous Rockford establishments. He loved motorcycles and enjoyed spending time with family & friends. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela S. Brockett (Beck); children, John (Tammy) Souza Dye, Debbie (Joe) Mondorf, Julie Felsing, Marston Brockett, Kathy (William) Settles and Dani Tate; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Linda Brockett, Loren (Denice) Brockett, Margie (Jim) Benhoff, Buck (Lori) Brockett, Chuck Brockett, Carolyn Brockett, Georgette Eisman, George (Sheri) Mattis and Sandy (Farmer) Lasher; step-mother, Alvera Brockett; several nieces & nephews; and a host of beloved friends and relatives. He is predeceased by his mother & step-father, Roberta (William) Ragsdale; father, Charles "Chuck" Brockett; step-father, George Mattis; son, Danny Brockett Jr.; brother, Mart Brockett; former wives, Freda Kaye Brockett, Barbara Ann Brockett; granddaughter, Amber Curry; nephews, Eric Ferguson and Rick Knight; and niece, Mary Lawrence.

Funeral Services held Saturday February 20, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Avenue, Rockford with visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of services at 3:00 PM. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
