Danny Kirchner

ROCKFORD – Daniel D. "Danny" Kirchner, age 50, lifelong resident of Rockford passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday March 24, 2021. Born in Rockford on March 8, 1971 to Thomas W. & Barbara J. Kirchner (Puckett). A skilled carpenter, Danny loved woodworking and took great pride in the numerous cabinets & countertops he created. He was a talented tradesman and could fix anything from plumbing to electrical and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He loved spending time with his children out on the pond, Las Vegas trips with his mother to visit family and in his younger years enjoyed Boy Scout winter camping and playing baseball. Danny loved making people laugh, he had an infectious smile and charm that will truly be missed. Beloved father, son, brother, uncle and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by children, Kayla Kirchner (Dakota Miller), Cherish (Bryant) Caruthers, Drake Gonzalez and Adriana Kirchner; mother, Barbara Kirchner (Pete Domino); brothers, Thomas (Blair Taylor), Bill (Heather Curry) and Rondal (Jennie Schmit); sisters, Kristy McGuire (Darryl Peavy) and Charmagne Kirchner (Shane Hart); sister-in-law, Shannon Kirchner; numerous aunts & uncles, nieces & nephews and cousins; and many beloved friends. He is predeceased by his father, Thomas W. Kirchner; brother, Joey Kirchner; and beloved dogs, Thunder, Lightning, Cuddles & RG.

Funeral Services held Tuesday March 30, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Avenue, Rockford with visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
