Daveen Jo Winters

DAVIS JUNCTION – Daveen Jo Winters, age 73, of Davis Junction passed away peacefully Saturday March 4, 2017. Born in Rockford on September 14, 1943 to David & Lelah Wetherell (Knott). Daveen loved her numerous animals on her farm. She enjoyed the company and lovingly tormenting her nieces & nephews. Beloved wife, sister, aunt and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, James E. Winters, sister, Maureen (Joe) Rekemeyer; niece, Colleen (Jerry) Yarbrough; great nieces & nephews, Travis, Tyler, Danielle and Jacob; many dear friends; super dogs, Libby & Holly; and numerous beloved chickens. She is predeceased by her parents; and niece, Janel Gonzales.

Celebration of Life Memorial to be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Davis Junction United Methodist Church, 201 East Chicago Ave. (Route 72), with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Fellowship luncheon held at the Davis Junction Fire Department following services. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
