David James Adams

ROCKFORD – David James Adams, age 51, of Rockford passed away peacefully Wednesday February 3, 2021. Born in Rockford on September 17, 1969 to James L. & Elmira M. Adams (Hutchinson). He married Josephine Villarreal on July 29, 1991. David loved to work on cars and was an excellent mechanic. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing & hunting and arguing with his dear friend Edgar Garcia. He cherished his wife, children and grandchildren and placed his family as the most important thing in his life. He always told his family "Nothing has brought me more peace and content in my life than simply being a good husband, father and Poppa!"

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Josie Adams (Villarreal); children, Eric (Sarah), Dillon and Haley; grandchildren, twins Noah & Ellie; siblings, Penny Schultz, Timothy Doyle,, Thomas (Val) Doyle, Patty (John) Doyle, Paula (Mike) Arbisi, Lisa Szwiec, Robin Clarida and Tracey (Lucy) Adams; and numerous nieces & nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, James & Elmira Adams; and siblings, Ricky L. Adams, Terrance L. Doyle, Scott Bjork and Peggy L. Doyle.

Celebration of Life Memorial held at a later date. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
