Dawn Renee Sims

ROCKFORD – Dawn Renee Sims, age 49, of Rockford and formerly of Freeport passed away peacefully Tuesday July 28, 2020. Born in Rockford on September 9, 1970 to Roger D. Sims & Diane L. Herbig. Dawn enjoyed playing cards and rolling the dice, she could never passed up a good game of 10,000 or Up & Down the River. She loved her soap operas and never missed an episode of The Young and the Restless. Beloved mother, daughter, sister, soulmate and friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Joshua Paul Erhler-Sims; soulmate, Dave Feggastad; grandchildren, Laila, Jackson and Olivia; mother, Diane L. Thruman; father, Roger Sims; siblings, Robby (Melissa) Sims, Kresta (Mike) Kane, Jeffrey Sims, Jennifer Sims and Melissa "Jodi" Sims; half sister, Breanna Sims; numerous nieces & nephews; and many beloved friends. She is predeceased by her son, Jacob Michael Sims; and sister, Jaime Sims.

Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
