Debra Ann Miramontez

ROCKFORD – Debra Ann Miramontez, age 60, of Rockford passed away peacefully Monday January 22, 2018 at Swedish American Hospital. Born April 30, 1957 in Rockford, the daughter of Grant & Bessie Harbison (Burk). She married Juan Miramontez on August 5, 1974 in Rockford. She was employed as a photo assistant. A proud member of St. Bridget Catholic Church, she enjoyed reading romance novels, spending time with family (especially her grandchildren) and cooking. Debra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.

She is survived by her husband, Juan Miramontez; sons, Fidel (Angie) Miramontez and Juan Miramontez Jr.; daughter, Araceli Miramontez; grandchildren, Ricardo, Angel, Dylan, Fidel and Sonya; siblings, Harold (Colleen) Harbison, Shirley Barton, Joyce Sneath, Carolyn (Ampelio) Martinez, Steve (Robin) Harbison, Rex (Holly) Harbison, Linda Harbison, Teresa (Pascual) Gonzalez and Clayton Harbison; as well as numerous nieces & nephews that she loved very much. She is predeceased by her parents, infant brother; sister, Peggy Sharp-Harbison; and brothers, Grant Jr., Donald and Ronald Harbison.

Mass of Christian Burial held Thursday February 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Avenue, Machesney Park, with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday January 31, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park.
