Destinee Anne Downey

DAVIS JUNCTION – Destinee Anne Downey, age 34, of Davis Junction and formerly of Rockford passed away Tuesday May 3, 2022. Born in Birmingham, AL on November 6, 1987 to Robert James & Savannah E. Downey Jr. (Franklin). A proud graduate of Guilford HS and Rasmussen College, Destinee loved being outdoors, camping, tubing and tending her rose bush. She loved the Halloween, Penguins and rooting for the the White Sox and Vikings. Beloved sister, companion, aunt and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her siblings, Kristopher (Julie) Downey. Jonathon Downey and Robert (Jessica) Downey III; dear friend and companion, Joseph Garrett and family, Blake, Bryce and Braeden; special cousin, Carla Mayor; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; and sister, Alicia Downey.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Tuesday May 17, 2021 at 6:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
