Diane Elizabeth Holmes

ROCKFORD - Diane Elizabeth Holmes, age 63, of Rockford departed this earthly life Sunday April 4, 2021 for her heavenly home. She was born February 13, 1958 in Rockford to Richard Lee & Adrian Della Ruth Wainwright (Foster). Diane graduated from West High School before continuing her studies and becoming a CNA. She lived a full life spending most of her time caring for others. Beloved wife, mother, Big Mama and aunt; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, David "Doug" Williams; children, Schlana Wainwright and Anthony (Felisa) Wainwright; step-children, Shawn Felton, Clarissa Felton and Jarvis Felton; brothers, Ernest Carpenter, Charles (Diane) Carpenter, Ervin Wainwright, Larry Wainwright and David Wainwright; sisters, Elana Davis and Clarissa Wainwright; grandchildren, Anthony (Letticia) Wainwright, Candy Wainwright, Niy'onna Wainwright, Sa'Riah Wainwright, Kyrie & Kameron Wainwright, Selena & Karlondo Duboise and Brendan Saldana; great granddaughter, K'Amorah Wainwright; and a host of nieces & nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Richard & Della Wainwright; brother, James Carpenter; first husband, George Holmes; niece, Tasha Olmstead; nephew, Dathan Wainwright; and great granddaughter, KE'Moni Moore.

Funeral Services held Tuesday April 13, 2021 from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM at the Christian Growth Center Church, 3730 Guilford Rd, Rockford, with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Interment at Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
