Dorothy Elaine Church

ROCKFORD – Dorothy Elaine Church, age 84, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home Friday February 18, 2022. Born in Sparta, WI on September 17, 1937 to Erwin John & Evelyn Elaine Oswald (Brand). A 1955 Graduate of Sparta High School, Dorothy married LeRoy B. Church on November 10, 1956. She worked for many years in Central Supply at OSF Hospital. Dorothy loved testing her luck at the slot machines and playing BINGO at the Teamsters Hall. Beloved mother and grandmother; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Sandra (Mark) Schultz, Susan (Kenny) Moore, Joseph (Sue) Church and LeRoy Church; grandchildren, Michele, Kristina and Ashley Schultz, Kimberly Polasek and Michael Moore; great grandchildren, Maggie, Carter, Brooke, Trace, Angela and Aaliyah; dear friend, Beverly; and several nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, LeRoy B. Church; mother, Evelyn E. (Lester) Georgeson; father, Erwin J. Oswald; brother, John (Norma) Oswald; and sister, Elaine (Gilbert) Daniel.

Services are Private, Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
