Dorothy Charlotte Mcnaughton

ROCKFORD – Dorothy Charlotte McNaughton, age 84, of Rockford passed away peacefully surrounded by family Monday November 18, 2019. Born in Rockford on December 29, 1934 to Harold & Martha Trolander (Beers). Dodie loved musicals, dogs, and spending time with her family. A history buff, she and Bob enjoyed traveling to historical sites, good restaurants and dancing. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by husband of 53 years, Robert (Bob) Dean McNaughton; children, Debbie (Chuck) Hoffman, Dee Dee (Terry) Zilliox, David (Kathy) Cook, Robin (Jim) Scott and Dean (Jessica) McNaughton; grandchildren, Jenny (Kyle), Courtney (Jon), Mallory (Eric), Dana, Jonathan (April), Jacob (Skye), Nathan (Jacqueline), Nicholas, Christopher, Alec, Clara and Tegan; great grandchildren, Bailey, Riley, Megan, Forrest, Clayton, Madelyn, Isaac, Charlie and Gwen; and many dear friends. She is predeceased by her sister, Marilyn (Leonard) Hallen; grandson, David Ross; and her parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Monday December 2, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the American Lombardi Society, 209 Olive St, Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon – reception to follow. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
