Eddie Gene White

ROCKFORD – Eddie Gene White, age 72, of Rockford passed away peacefully Monday January 8, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Born in Beech Grove, AR on August 25, 1951 to Amos & Annie White (Weaver). A proud HVAC Tradesman, Eddie owned & operated Unlimited Sheet Metal for over 42 years until his retirement. He took great pride in his work and truly enjoyed teaching the trade to his sons and numerous others over his career. In his younger years he coached his boys through many baseball & basketball travel teams and possessed a true passion for Drag Racing. Eddie loved spending time with his family and never missed a chance to test his luck at the slot machines. Beloved husband, father, grandpa and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Marcia Sue White (Ulbert); sons, Dustin (Tara) White and Brandon (Nikki) White; grandchildren, Nathan, Courtney, Eddie Jr., Ashlin and Joey; nephew, Jimmy Bailey; brother-in-law, Boyd Bailey; sister-in-law, Ramona Austin; and dear friend, Debbie Bradley. Celebration of Life Memorial held Saturday January 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, Rockford, with visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
