Emily Joann Dammann

ROCKFORD – Emily Joann Dammann, age 81, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Tuesday October 10, 2017. Born in Sterling, IL on February 13, 1936 to Ross Howard & Alma Judd. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by children, Henry (Susan Dalton), John (Cindy), Ray, Bruce, Preston (Mary), Bill (Lisa), Jeanine McNitt, Diana (Lauren) Wolf and Tim; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Hawk; dear friends, Cheryl & Kay; beloved cat, Zena; and many nieces & nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, Ross Howard; mother, Alma (Chester) Nelson; father of her children, Francis Dammann; and brothers, Don Howard and Charles "Doug" Howard.

Funeral services to be held on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Internment at Winnebago Cemetery. Memorials to the family.
