Everett Ellwood Norman

ROCKFORD – Everett Ellwood Norman, age 78, of Rockford passed away on Friday October 27, 2017. Born in Rockford on February 17, 1939 to Ellwood Everett & Helen Dorothy Norman (Feltz). Everett enjoyed fishing, sports and most of all he loved to cook. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Beloved father, grandfather, brother and dear friend; he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by children, Ronald (Carolyn) Norman of LaVern, MN, Kenneth (Marisol) Norman of the Philippines, Susan (Chavez) Stokes of Rockford, Robert (Gail) Norman of Lauren, IA and Barry Norman of Burlington, MN; grandchildren, Amber, April, Matthew, Makayla, Kyla, Jacob, Robert, Brianna, Lillie, Blake, Samantha, AmberRose, Karen, Joseph, Jessica, Becky, Elizabeth and Autum; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Connie), David (late Linda), John, Michael (Linda), Dennis (Nancy) and Brian (Barb) all of Rockford; sisters, Irma (Dale) Duhamell of Pecatello, ID; mother of his children, Sylvia Norman of Oregon, IL; and numerous nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; brother, Richard Norman; and sisters, Dianna Norman and Irene Toth .

Funeral services to be held on Friday November 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Kishwaukee Baptist Church, 2742 9th Street Rockford, IL, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
