Faye Topper

DURAND – Faye Topper, age 89, of Durand and formerly of Elgin passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, just shy of her 90th birthday. Born October 4, 1936 in Lesterville, MO to Elmer & Clara Ebert (McGowan), the youngest of 9 children. Faye married the love of her life, Donald Topper in Chicago on Feb 23, 1961. They shared 60 years of marriage together. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Diedrich, Monique (Mark) Leman and Andre (Kerri) Topper; grandchildren, Kevin & Kristi Smith, Corey, Kyle & Carson Leman and Jake & Jesse Topper; great grandson, Oli Vandy; and sister, Shirley LeMonik of Florida. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Donald Topper; 7 siblings; and her parents.

Private Services will be held at the Durand Cemetery. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: St Jude Cancer Research - stjude.org
