Frankie R. Banks

ROCKFORD – The good Lord called Frankie Banks home on Thursday January 26, 2023 at the age of 74. Born in Tupelo, MS on November 24, 1948 to Charlie Coleman & Mattie Sue Valliant (McGaughy). As a child she moved from Mississippi to Wisconsin and lived most of her life in Beloit, transitioned to Madison and finally to Milwaukee for her job. She retired after 25 years of service at General Motors.

She is survived by daughter, Chandra Banks; granddaughter, Shandra "Shanie" (Marielle) Crowley; great grandsons, Akeem and Arias Crowley all of Milwaukee, WI; brothers, Junior (Gladys) Banks of Beloit, WI, James (Mary) Banks of Milwaukee, WI; sisters, Earleen Banks of Tupelo, MS, Susie (Harris) Banks of Rockford, IL and Linda (Allie) Springer of Milwaukee, WI. She is predeceased by her parents; two brothers; and one sister.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Friday February 3, 2023 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave., with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Cremation rites accorded. Repass to follow services at No Cross No Crown Fellowship, 1715 9th St, Rockford, IL 61104. Memorials to the family.
