Fred Edward Singer

LOVES PARK – Fred "Sonny" Edward Singer, age 83, of Loves Park passed away peacefully at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL on Saturday August 20, 2022. Born in Rockford on April 8, 1939 to Fredrick William & Evelyn Ann (Fischbach) Singer. Fred graduated from East High School where he met his wife, Barbara, they were married on January 17, 1959. Dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Barb; children, Kandy (Steven) Wade, Duff (Karen) Singer and Kassandra Schup (Mike Lynch); grandchildren, Amber, Amanda, Jake, Sydney and Gianna; great grandchildren, Elijah, Jonah, Sophia, Brody and Demi; sister, Ruth Singer. He is predeceased by his parents; and sisters, Ann (Ronald) Daubert, Joan (Jim) Thomas and Sally (Bill) Dye.

Celebration of Life Memorial held at a later date. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
