Fredia Kay Ramsey

MACHESNEY PARK, IL – Fredia Kay Ramsey, age 76, of Machesney Park passed away peacefully at home Tuesday November 11, 2023. Born in Peach Orchard, AR on November 25, 1946 to Walter & Willie Davis (Booth). A devoted volunteer, Fredia enjoyed dedicating her time and talents to the Salvation Army's Giving Tree Campaign each year, and remembered her time spent with the Singles Volunteer Network fondly. She loved staying active playing pickleball, tennis, golf and taking long walks. Fredia truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and spoiling her grandchildren & great grandchildren, her true pride and joy. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend with a smile that lit up every room; she will remain forever in our hearts. In her words "this too shall pass".

She is survived by children, Stacey Doty and Derek Ramsey; grandchildren, Ashlie (Ryan) Slomian, Skyler (Brianna) Doty, Xander Doty and Aaron (Danielle) Raezler; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Claude (Sue) Davis; numerous nieces & nephews; and dear friend, Peter Singh. She is predeceased by her parents; brother, Walter Lee (Norah) Davis; and beloved dog, Cali.
