Gladys Yvonne Roskopp

ROCKFORD – Gladys Yvonne Roskopp (Meinert), age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 9, 2017. Born in Beloit, WI on March 10, 1937 to Kenneth Harold & Faye Isabel Meinert (Haas). She married Peter Roskopp Jr. on March 13, 1954 in Rockford. A Girl Scout leader for 17 years, she was active for the Lord in her Church family. In the latter years she worked for Catholic Charities in Child Welfare and the Secretary of Forest City Fellowship. Beloved mother, grandmother and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by grandchildren, Christopher Scott Roskopp, Joshua Hy Roskopp, Chad Paul, Carol Roskopp and Dustin Shane Palmer; son-in-law, Roger Palmer; daughter-in-law, Ellen Roskopp. She is predeceased by her husband, Peter Roskopp Jr.; daughter, Valery Faye Palmer (Roskopp); son, Scott Allen Roskopp; and brother, Harold Kenneth Meinert.
