Gregory Lee Owen

ROCKFORD- Gregory Lee Owen, age 56, of Rockford and formerly of Baxter Springs, KS passed away Thursday August 31, 2017. Born in Rockford on March 28, 1961 to Cloyce Lee & Ellen Faye Owen (Clark). Gregory was employed at Estwing Manufacturing Co. in Rockford for over 30 years. He loved listening to rock music, attending concerts & shows and playing video games. He was a loving man who cared for his wife while she was sick and took great pride & joy in their children & grandchildren. Beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend, he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years Kathy L. Owen (Brent); children, Dakota, Patrick & Myrissa Owen; grandchildren, Alexia, Tre'Marion and Kameron; mother, Ellen Faye Owen; siblings, Kirk (Kerri) Owen, Todd (Angela) Owen and Rebecca Owen; aunt, Helen Owen; numerous nieces & nephews; mother & father in law, Wayne (Judy) LaMont; and dear friend, Rhonda Holder. Predeceased by father, Cloyce Owen; and grandfather, Roy Clark.

Funeral Services to be held Saturday September 9, 2017 at 5:00 PM at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
