Grover Cleveland Morelock

ROCKFORD – Grover Cleveland Morelock, age 86, of Rockford passed away peacefully Wednesday May 29, 2019. Born in Rogersville, TN on March 5, 1933 to Cleve & Emma Morelock. He moved to Rockford in the 1950's with his family. He married Sue Aline Hood in 1967. He loved working on and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He enjoyed listening and playing Gospel & Bluegrass, he formed a band and played at multiple venues around the Rockford area. A devoted member of Dominion Christian Center, he was baptized by lead Pastor John White. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and dear friend; he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sue Aline Morelock (Hood); sons, Martin, William (Renee) and Richard (Tina); grandchildren, Richie, Ashley, Jason and Andrew; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Jack (Clara) Morelock; sisters, Ester Morelock and Annie Head; special niece & nephew, Suzie (Steve) Avery and Doug (Linda) Morelock; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; son, Bobby Dale Schoon; brothers, Woodrow & Gibb; and sister, Hester.
