Guadalupe Cruz Rodriguez

ROCKFORD – Guadalupe Cruz Rodriguez, age 73, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday November 4, 2017. Born in San Jose Agua Azul, Mexico on December 14, 1943 to Agustin Cruz & Alejandra Amador. A talent in the kitchen, she loved to cook and was famous for her Gorditas. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Roberto M. Rodriguez; sons, Miguel (Angelica) Rodriguez and Carlos Rodriguez; special granddaughter, Julissa Rodriguez; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; and numerous nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, brother and niece.

A special Thank You to her dear sisters, Esperanza Rodriguez and Consuelo Ramirez, for their loving care and support.

Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday November 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2505 School Street, with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday November 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Avenue. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of memorials, flowers are requested.
