Helen Merie Szleszinski

ROCKFORD - Helen Merie Szleszinski, age 91, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home Sunday January 21, 2024. Born on February 26, 1932 in Strickland, WI to the late Stanley & Stella Mechalski (Zarecki). Kindhearted and selfless, Helen lived a life devoted to God, family and friends. A stay-at-home mother who poured endless love and care into raising her children, she found joy in cooking, fishing and making rosaries. Her warm and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire her family for generations to come. In this time of mourning, let us remember the beautiful life of Helen Szleszinski and the impact she had on all those around her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Helen's memory will be cherished by her son, Peter; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Ignace; sons, Christopher and Joseph; siblings Frank, Walter, John, Peter, Antonia and Katherine; and her parents.

Funeral Services held Saturday January 27, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave, Rockford, with visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
