Herschel E. Woolbright

LOVES PARK – Herschel Eugene Woolbright, age 86, of Loves Park, IL who wintered with his wife at ORO in Clermont, FL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Monday, October 26, 2026. Born in Cherry Valley, AR on August 18, 1940 to Reather “Buck” & Bertha Mae Woolbright (Pruitt). Proud owner and operator of Bock Antenna and Satellite of Loves Park for many years, Herschel found joy in the simple pleasures of life and loved spending time doing the things he enjoyed most. Whether playing cards with family and friends always with a trick or two up his sleeve, fishing on a peaceful day, watching baseball, early morning tee time golfing or shooting a game of billiards. He was happiest when he was enjoying his favorite things with his family, his true pride and joy. He had a special love for Florida, where he and Faye enjoyed the sunshine, warmth, relaxation and special friendships. His witty sense of humor and ability to share a laugh will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. Beloved husband, father, grand & great grandpa, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Faye Woolbright (Meserole); children, Mike (Carrie) Woolbright, Tom (Sue) Woolbright and Cindy (Vern) Borah; grandchildren, Randi, AJ (Kat), Tyler (Kate), Brandon (Sara), Justin (Whitney) and Danielle (Nolan); great grandchildren, Monica, Gabriel, Dash, Emerson, Truett and Jett; siblings, Walter, Carol and Larry; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, Randy Glenn Woolbright; sisters, Joyce, Dorothy and Shirley; and his parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial to be held Monday, November 2, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Grace Family Church, 3202 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Rockford, IL 61114, with visitation from 11:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 noon.
