Hilario Herrera Mendoza

ROCKFORD – Hilario Herrera Mendoza, age 84, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Friday May 4, 2018. Born in San Lorenzo, Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico on October 29, 1933 to Teodora & Francisca Mendoza (Herrera). He was a very loving father and hard worker. Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend; he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife, Margarita Mandujano; children, Eva, Octavio (Gloria), Esteban (Maria), Carmen (Gerardo Castillo), Guadalupe (Antonio), Silvia (Juan Gama) and Mary (Louis Cardenas); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his children, Olivia & Rosario Mendoza.

Mass of Christian Burial held on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter and St. Paul  Catholic Church, 617 Lincoln Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM.  Friends may visit the family from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials to the family.
